Hi, Have found 4 large pieces of "Jet" at Chapel St Leonards,Lincs. Has past the hot needle test. Do you normally find jet this far south?
Superb explanations, thank you! Very pragmatic and clear-could not be better. I identified my Whitby jet chain as authentic, and I feel confident I can now recognize the various materials.
Thanks for your informative website - great! Think I just bought a plastic "Jet" heart!
Great site - using with school kids.
Hi
Great website--very useful. John, have you ever created glassware? I have a cobalt blue basket with a signature on the base--looks like JM Felton. could this be you?
How very delightfull to find such knowledge and dedication in these days of empty soundbites and 'anything goes' attitudes.
We need a lot more like you!
Hi John,
Great Website and very informative.
Best regards
John
Hi John, I'm the older sister of your fellow jet enthusiast Jane in Connecticut! You have a nice and informative site!
Dear Mr. Felton, Your website is wonderful and full of excellent information. Thank you for educating those of us who seek out information on the old and beautiful jewelry made for women in mourning. God Bless and Best regards, Sincerely, A. Deal
Thanks for your web page. Since visiting my relatives in Whitby as a child, I have been a jet fan. I recently discovered Ebay - though it is hard to assess by the pictures alone. Your examples are very helpful. I have done the scratch test on my pieces - but like them too much to risk the hot needle!
Thanks again for a great posting.
